The Acer One Laptop Netbook was designed for people who wanted all the features of a laptop in a small lightweight mobile device. It is made of good construction material, sporting small but bright 10.1″ LCD up to 1024 x 600 resolution. It has a single core Intel “Atom” N270 CPU Processor in the GHz range of 1.66GHz. It can take up to 2GB of DDR2 Memory, usually comes with a 160GB hard drive and Windows XP Home Edition and is capable of running Windows 7 Starter (2GB recommended). It is equipped with Intel Wireless WiFi B/G which is compatible with 99% of all new routers. It weighs less than 3lbs and is a good cheap lightweight mobile solution laptop netbook.

What to Expect: This will make for a decent laptop for people needing only basic things such as Internet (WiFi) email, Facebook etc. It will stream Net Flix and watch YouTube videos OK but not great as it usually only includes 1GB ram, some configurations come with 2GB which is ideal. Since it is so small, there is not a CD drive included, some models will include a external CD drive, but with just the basics, CD/DVD function is not an option. If CD/DVD functionality is important, you may want to consider a larger laptop. On a plus side it does have integrated LCD webcam and SD card reader, ideal for accessing your pictures quickly. The integrated Intel Mobile 945GSE Express makes for decent Internet browsing and video playback.
